Rules and ByLaws

The name of the organization shall be the West Jersey Women's Field Hockey Association, Hereinafter referred to as WJWFHA.  The purpose of this organization, WJWFHA, shall be to encourage and advance the best interest of field hockey.

Dues, Roster and Waiver

All players must pay a roster fee, league fee and submit a completed league waiver prior to playing any game to their team captain/manager.  Captains/Managers are required to send completed waivers, team rosters and pay the roster and league fees (dues) to the President and Treasurer by the required dated or a fine maybe imposed.  A new waiver, roster fee (dues) and updated roster must be received 24 hours prior to the third game in order to add new players.  Teams are not permitted to add players after the third game.  Dues/roster fees are non-fundable.  All players play at their own risk.  The WJWFHA player wavier can be downloaded here or from the forms page.

Eligibility

Players must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible to play.  Players must be a graduate of high school and not be a current collegiate player.  No players shall represent more than one team in the league. 

Uniforms

All players each team must be in team colors and uniform.  This includes team colors jersey, shorts/pants, and knee socks.  Any player out of uniform in a game will result in a forfeit for that team.  Hats, visors, tank tops, cut offs of any kind are in violation of the uniform policy.  Uniform rules does not include goalkeepers. 

Structure

The WJWFHA shall include a minimum of three teams and a maximum of fourteen.  All new teams must be apply to the WJWFHA and the application will be determined by a vote of the Executive Committee.  Each team shall have a minimum of eleven players on the roster and may have an unlimited number of players.  The WJWFHA is dedicated to providing a non-coed league that ensures a safe and supportive playing environment for all participants. Our focus is on fostering teamwork and sportsmanship while prioritizing the well-being of every player. Join us in creating a positive atmosphere where everyone can thrive and enjoy the game!
